A residency on the west coast of Ireland
Claggan Cottage is a division of Polranny Pirates. The cottage is located in Western Europe’s one and only wilderness, in Ballycroy. It is a 50 minutes’ drive from Polranny House, the main residence of Polranny Pirates. This cottage is an exquisite ‘retreat’ for the hermit, the ‘loner’ among the creative individuals. But you can also work with a maximum of two people. There is no public transport and your own transport is therefore necessary.
The residence is a traditional Irish cottage dating from 1938. There is no Wifi, but every now and then you can access internet with your smartphone.
Later in the last century a small bathroom was attached at the back.
Interior

Across from this inlet lies a pink house, with a boat house on the left at the waterfront. This is the famous Rock House dating to 1838 when the West of Ireland was a hunting ground. The book Wild sports of the West (1832) is situaed around this bay.
